Moments that become memories

BRINGING YOU HOME AGAIN

1 / 1

Everyone is on a journey with a story to tell,
what's yours?

Why "Home Again"?

I fell in love with photography and capturing moments when I was little and took hold of our family's digital camera, but became an obsessive photo taker and memory hoarder in my adult life. In 2019 after years of different health scares and struggles, we knew my Dad was slowly passing away. I made it my mission then to learn how to photograph and video as many moments as I could before saying goodbye. I realized that I will always be the person capturing memories for everyone, because I know what it feels like to not be able to have any new ones with someone my heart still looks for.
After saying our final goodbye to Dad, my family and I went through a season of loss, grief and a heaviness we were not expecting. Life challenged me in ways I still can't believe, but one truth stayed with me in my heart - moments are fleeting and need to be protected.
The best/worst/and all of the in-between.
So I decided to call my "keeper of memories" business the only name that I knew I could. Home Again. It was the name of my Dad's highway truck when I was growing up, and he named it that way because he always promised us he would make it Home Again; and he did. Right to the very last breath. He passed away in my childhood home, surrounded by those he loved most in this world, and was a true testament to his love for his family and his fulfilled promise of always coming home to us.

So here's to you Dad. Thank you for teaching me how to Love Like Crazy, live for the simple joys, and capture all of life's stories while I can. You had one hell of a journey, and I can't wait to tell you all about my own one day.
